Carl's Butternut Squash and Sage Soup

Instructions:


Peel and cube a butternut squash. Boil down in chicken stock (or apple cider - thanks, Chris!) until tender. Puree with a stick blender or blender blender. Add butter, cream, garlic, and fresh sage that has been toasted in brown butter. Add warming spices (nutmeg, maybe cinnamon), and white pepper. Salt to taste.
